She had skin that glistened in the sunlight as she sat by the vernal pool, seemingly lost in her thoughts. I hadn’t seen a woman so beautiful in my Life. I was eager to get closer without spooking Her, but I didn't know how. She will notice if I got closer. I stood there in awe.

“Come closer”, she said, as if reading my thoughts. “Who are you? How come you are sitting all alone in this Jungle?” I asked, suddenly realizing that while I was vocalising my thoughts, She was speaking to me without speaking aloud. “Use Madhyama. You will scare the animals, birds and beings of this wonderful space. Live, walk & exist without leaving your mark on the Earth.” She said with a smile. “Who are you?” I asked Her through my thoughts, hoping She could hear. “I am Manasa”. She turned towards me & Her skin appeared like golden scales for a moment before turning back to lustre of youthful skin. I couldn’t speak. Suddenly, the thoughts rushed & it seems like my tongue could not activate itself.

Her voice was mellifluous and soft. She talked about her kingdom in another dimension & how She missed being part of the human world. Now that Kali yuga was over, She felt more comfortable stepping out. Humans appear to have diminished in physique and mental capacity she said, a tad sadly. Our people & your people lived together, shared knowledge & created a mixed race, but sadly, none of them seemed to remember Her race. Without our kind, where will you get the knowledge to manage your soil & water, she lamented. Except for such small patches, the planet looks like it has been struck by a Bhramastra.
Call us if you need to get this planet back to where it was. Call us if your rivers have to flow around the year. Call us, if you require our venom for your well-being. Call us when your fertility rates drop and you get close to destroying your race.
Save your water bodies. Water is the only element that can act as a portal between your world and mine.
When that runs dry, no mantra, no tantra, no yantra can connect us anymore.
